About the Event
TAILS was founded in 2018 as a small, volunteer-led animal welfare charity with a mission to rescue dogs and cats, find them loving homes, and provide critical medical support, especially in underserved areas of Lantau.
Seven years on, we’re celebrating 7 Years of Wagging, marking the lives saved, the community built, and the volunteers who make it all possible.
This is a family-friendly,, free-to-attend event. Join us for a fun-filled day celebrating companion animals, community, and compassion!

A huge thank you to Treasure Island, a 30-year Lantau institution, for generously donating space, equipment, and time to make this zero-budget event possible. Every bit of goodwill goes straight back to helping animals.
Bring your dog’s leash, a blanket to sit on, and anything they may need for a fun day outdoors. Treasure Island restaurant is giving event guests 10% off menu items!
First aid, dog water stations, and poo waste bags will be available.
TIG has private parking; public transport options are also available, but remember ALL ferries from Central to Mui Wo allow dogs now!

Please note: Our adoption days are for dogs only—cats do not attend. Adoption events can be stressful for cats, and they are best met in their foster homes where they feel safe and comfortable. Meet-and-greets for cats can only be scheduled for approved adopters. If you're interested in adopting a cat, please reach out to us to start the adoption process!
